The Fourth Wall
by A. R. Gurney
January 18, 19, 20, 24, 25 & 26, 2008

Obsessed with conservative politics and theatre, a
high-minded housewife has rearranged her living
room to resemble a theatrical set, with all of the
furniture facing a blank 4th wall. That 4th wall, the
invisible barrier between actor and audience,
prompts spirited and hilarious conversation among the wacky characters in this satirical, socio-political comedy. Gurney’s theatre references alone are worth the price of admission!

Picasso at the Lapin Agile
by Steve Martin
November 2, 3, 4, 8, 9 & 10, 2007

It is 1904 in a French bar, the Lapin Agile, when
Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso meet. Each,
sure that he holds the key to the century’s greatest
idea, is on the verge of his break-through work.
When a visitor from the future arrives in his blue
suede shoes, a powerful new influence is added
to the mix. But which will have the biggest impact on humanity? Science, Art or Pop Culture?

Pippin
book by Roger O. Hirson
lyrics and music by Stephen Schwartz
May 2, 3, 4, 8, 9 & 10, 2008
(a musical production)

Though the Bob Fosse production premiered on
Broadway in 1972, this mischievous, magical
musical about a young prince trying to find the
meaning of life is still relevant today. "Magic to Do,"
"Morning Glow" and "Corner of the Sky" are just a few of the infectious musical numbers that accompany Pippin as he dabbles in warfare, politics and the quaint-sounding "temptations of the flesh" on his way to discovering true fulfillment.

Show time is 8 PM except for 2 PM Sunday matinees on
November 4, January 20, March 9 & May 4

Saturday, May 10 will have two performances at 2 PM and at 8 PM

All Performances are at the
Robert G. Reim Theatre in the Kirkwood Community Center at

Red Herring
by Michael Hollinger
March 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, & 15, 2008

Madcap mischief surrounds three love stories, a
murder mystery, and nuclear espionage in this film
noir spoof about marriage and other explosive
devices. This surprising, clever comedy about six
people in search of love in a mixed-up world keeps
you laughing--and even thinking--all the way.
